One magical night

This blog entry is quite long overdue, but it has been a while since I dressed up for something sooooo...

Every year, us, medical students get to dress up, catch up about anything non-academics related, unwind for a night and of course, to have some drinks and have fun. It might not be a big deal to anyone, but it is kind of a big deal for us, who does not get a life outside school. Or is it just me?

Nope, not really.

Would you believe me if I say that this whole outfit only costs less than a thousand? Yep. Scored this long skirt made of synthetic silk fabric for only 200 pesos and this top for 250 pesos. I also did my hair and makeup that day hehe

It was a masquerade ball. Everyone was required to be in a formal wear. I also did not want to spend that much for a gown because I am the kind of person who reuses, makes and recycles clothes. With just a week span and so much little time, I just went to the nearest thrift store to look for something that might do. E di kung wala, e di wala lol. If only we weren't required to attend, I am not going to attend. Good thing, I had a good company and drinks were overflowing. I had fun and so my friends who attended. lol

My sister and I are big fans of thrift shopping because we've always believed that fashion does not have to be expensive. You can buy few staple and classic pieces, but it does not have to be like that all the time especially if you're still dependent to your parents and unless you can afford it. *wink*

It's not really about what brand you wear or how much it costs, as long as you're comfortable with it, go wear it and flaunt what you got. Don't let them say otherwise, dear.
